Question by MDR: How do I burn a DVD from my computer that will play on my home DVD player?
I am trying to burn a DVD (photo slideshow with video) on my computer and then watch it on my home DVD player. I have Windows DVD maker and Roxcio DVD creator. Can anybody tell me how to do this? I can play it back on any computer but not at house.

It may well be that your DVD player is not capable of playing DVD-RW or DVD-R formats. You may want to verify your owner’s manual or consult the manufacturer’s web site. Or search on the front of your DVD player. Mine especially says what formats it can play, even though I’m sure that such labeling can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

If yours doesn’t play these formats, the great news is that DVD players are less expensive than they used to be. You can get a decent Sony player for seventy or eighty bucks. I would prevent the $ 30 dollar retailer brand players, nonetheless. I’ve read some unfavorable critiques, and some of those players lack features that you will probably want.
